This section of our website is intended for new students hoping to start at The Norton Knatchbull School in September 2025 and those considering applying for September 2026.
Free 11+ Familiarisation Materials
The Norton Knatchbull School is proud to be open to pupils from all backgrounds.
To encourage even greater representation of children at NKS, we work in partnership with Atom Learning, the leading online Key Stage 2 learning and 11+ preparation platform, to provide students who are eligible for pupil premium with free online learning and 11+ exam preparation.
This programme is designed to familiarise children with the type of questions they may see on the Kent Test, and build technique and confidence. They'll be able to access KS2 and 11+ practice questions, learning resources, and practice papers through their Atom Home account.
If your child has been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years, please fill in the form by clicking the button below. They will be given free access to Atom Home when their pupil premium status has been verified by their primary school.

SEPTEMBER 2025 ENTRY
You should have now received your offer of a school place for September 2025 (released March 3rd).
If you were successful in gaining a place then we will be in contact shortly.
Your son will be welcomed for two transition days, in school, on the 2nd and 3rd July.

Upcoming Open Events and Information
Year 5 Open Events:
In June 2025 we will be holding two Open Mornings for current Y5 students who are looking to join NKS in September 2026.
- Open Evening - Thursday 12th June
- Open Mornings - Thursday 12th June and Tuesday 17th June
The Open Mornings will enable you, and your son, to meet key members of the team, listen to a speech from the Headteacher and receive a tour of the school during a typical day.
